18. Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave) All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has sent down to His slave (Muhammad ) the Book (the Qur'an), and has not placed therein any crookedness.
Al-Kahf (Arabic: الكهف, al-kahf; meaning: The Cave) is the 18th chapter of the Quran with 110 verses . Regarding the timing and contextual background of the revelation (asbāb al-nuzūl), it is an earlier "Meccan surah", which means it was revealed in Mecca, instead of Medina.

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عِوَجَا ۜ. Praise be to Allah Who hath sent to His Servant the Book and hath allowed therein no Crookedness: 2325 2326. 2.
This is why Allah says: وَلَمْ يَجْعَل لَّهُ عِوَجَا (and has not placed therein any crookedness.) meaning, there is nothing twisted or confusing about it. But He has made it balanced and straightforward as He said; قَيِّماً ( (He has made it) straight), meaning straightforward,
